Ingredients:
For dough:
100 ml warm water
7 g dry yeast
1 egg
1 egg white
1 tsp salt
4 tbsp sugar
50 ml veg oil
150 ml warm milk
550-600 g flour (I used cake flour)
Also you need 60 g soft butter for spreading over the dough and 1 egg yolk to cover buns before baking.
Method:
1. Mix warm water with yeast, leave for 5 mins.
2. Combine 1 egg, egg white, salt, sugar, oil and whisk it a little bit.
3. Pour warm milk and yeast, stir the mixture.
4. Add half flour, stir well. Then add flour in portions until you get elastic and smooth dough. Leave the dough in a warm place for 40 mins to rise.
5. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 30x40 cm. Spread soft butter over the dough. Fold the dough into thirds (put a left side into the middle, and same with a right side). Spread the butter again and fold it in half.
6. Divide the dough into 8-9 pieces. Then, stretch each strip out and twist 2-3 times. Paste both edges together.
7. Leave buns under the cling film for 20 mins to rise and then cover each bun with whisked egg yolk.
8. Bake about 30 mins, 180C.
